Official Nacho Cano Fund
OFFICIAL NANO CANO FUND
On the morning of September 10th, Nacho Cano was riding his bicycle to work and was hit by a drunk driver leaving Nacho severely injured. He has already had multiple surgeries and is currently receiving treatment at Cedar Sinai Hospital. Although his surgeries have been successful and his spirits remain high, we want to help relieve any financial burden his family will face in the year to come.
On behalf of Nacho and his family, we are asking you to make a donation, big or small, to help Nacho in his time of need. All donations will be going to his mother, Claudia, to help pay for Nacho's living expenses and monthly bills while he recovers from his injuries. Your donation will go into an account for her access only, and help relieve some of the financial burden from this unjust accident.
About me (because GoFundMe wants this):
My name is Matt Walsh, I'm a native of the Southern California area, and I've been best friends with Nacho for five years now. We met in college, I thought we weren't a good fit, and the rest is history. Weird how that works.
I'm very close with Nacho's family, and with the blessing of his mother, I've created this gofundme to help out my buddy in his time of need. With the help of Nacho's many friends, I'm coordinating an effort to keep him comfortable as he recovers from his trauma.
Please share his story and thank you for your time!
Nacho seems to get stronger and healthier with every passing moment. His resilience through pain and discomfort is impressive to say the least. Almost as impressive as his ability to nap face down on the tiny loveseat in my living-room. He's over six feet tall and it makes no sense. But that's neither here nor there. I figured why not open with a laugh? Because last week was hard.
His determination to push through this painful ordeal is remarkable. Every day is better than the last, and little by little, things are getting back to normal.
Pretty soon this will all be just a bad memory, and while I look forward to that, there's much more work to be done.
Please continue to share this page and donate if you can. Any little bit helps.
First, Nacho's pelvis ended up not requiring any screws. And second, Nacho was able to get up on his feet and walk today with assistance. This is huge.
Nacho is healing incredibly fast! It must be all the love. That, and advanced medical science, but probably mostly the love.
The road to recovery shortens with every passing day, but there's still a ways to go. So thank you to everyone who has donated to either campaign so far. You're all heroes in my book!
I'd like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support so far. With the two campaigns combined we have accumulated nearly ten thousand dollars!
This is phenomenal. I am humbled by the generosity of friends, family members, and strangers. Together, people are capable of remarkable work.
Today Nacho is having his third surgery for his broken pelvis. His spirits are high and he's constantly surrounded by people who love and care about him. The progress of this campaign will be a wonderful surprise when he wakes up.
Let's keep this awesome momentum going. Please continue to share his story, and let's make certain that everyone's buddy is taken care of.
Lots of love,
I am astounded at how attractive all of Nacho's friends are. How are you all so beautiful and handsome?
We've come to a very civil agreement and all is well. Anita is a wonderful person with a good soul. I apologize for any confusion or outrage, this is a very emotional time, but we're pulling it together piece by piece.
Your donations are in good hands with this campaign or with hers as we are working together.
