Officer David S. Hofer #officerdown
David and Marta's love was as true as love could be. From New York City where they met to Plano, Texas. They decided to build their dream, starting with buying a house and their first child (a rescue dog named Mickey). They were an exemplary representation of todays American Dream. Marta is one of the kindest women you will ever know. She has a heart of gold. Left with a new house, mortgage, and Mickey, we as her freinds ask for your help in raising money to support Marta through this difficult time.
The loss of David can be felt across the country and especially in his two home towns. We are thankful for anything that you can contribute, whether it be thoughts, prayers, money, or all three. Thank you in advance for taking your time to read about David and Marta, your thoughts and contributions will be remembered as David will be forever.
We just want to express how thankful we are for your help, this is more than we ever could have imagined! The out pour of support and generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts

Correction. The parents will collect 333,604 not 33,604.
Since this man had no wife or children, his parents will be collecting 33,604. More than enough to bury this fine man! Such a tragedy!

This story really touched me. I work for a company that makes products for law enforcement and the military, and we hear about tragedies like this every day. It is very unfair that people who dedicate their lives to making things safe for the rest of us have such a dangerous and often thankless job. It's one of the reasons why I am proud to work where I do, to serve who we do. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
My heart goes out to this honorable young officer, and his family, may God bless his fiancée and surviving loved ones. I am at a loss for words, God bless you all, and I send my love and condolences, life can be unfair. REST IN PEACE to a fine officer taken too soon.
