Union City Music Project Renovation
Donation protected
The Legacy Project of ALP8, as part of the Advanced Ed NYC's Leadership Program, is to support Union City Music Project (UCMP) by cleaning and renovating their afterschool program space. UCMP uses music as a vehicle for social change by engaging Union City’s at-risk children and youth in an afterschool program.
Our goal is to create a functional, safe, and inspiring environment for the students.
Specifically, we will:
- clear out all of the clutter so that there are more rooms available for classes
- create a colorful and welcoming classroom specifically designed for homework and reading
- paint the classroom and the entryway
- paint a mural of music-related pictures
- organize the instrument storage space
We are committed to raising the $5,000 required for this project. We will be completing this entire project by Tues Mar 17th! Please support us towards this goal. Any amount makes a difference in help up to transform this space! Please donate now.
