Coral reefs help protect our coastlines from damaging weather impacts, provide nutrients to marine animals (that go on to feed humans), and assist in recycling nutrients, and that's only naming a few ways in which our oceans are important to our existence.
Our coral reefs are dying and it's predicted that we will see this happen in our lifetime. This isn't just about saving an ecosystem, but also the lives of many humans.
My name is Courtney, I am an honor student, and I have manintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my entire college career. You can trust that I don't put less than 100% into anything I do. My goal is simple: Raise enough money to be able to attend the marine biology trip to Belize, through my college, in order to obtain great research skills and to gain valuable information about the oceans, coral reefs, and the marine life that is essential to us as humans.
The cost for this trip is out of my financial grasp and includes plane ticket to Belize, cost of the course itself, and for the room/board while on the trip.
By contributing to my cause you are investing in me to gain much needed knowledge that I will carry with me to improve our oceans and the environments in which millions of marine animals live!
