Cold Pressed Dreams

My name is Valerie Fullen. I am a small business owner and a third generation Galveston native. I own a juice bar that is much more than a business - it's a way of life, a true Oasis. We are a safe haven where people come to find peace, love, and health. As we enter the new year, we would like to start offering cold pressed juices to our customers. We believe that cold pressed juice is something that the community of Galveston truly needs and deserves.

Oasis was originally designed as a dream in which profit was not a huge concern. Over the last year we have been trying to turn it into a profitable business to expand and offer more to the community. With this money, we would have all the resources needed to give the community of Galveston what they deserve - healthy, organic, nutritious juice that will help our island thrive.

Being part of the Oasis team, I have had access to fresh, healthy juice for over a year now. Since having juice as part of my daily regimen, I have noticed significant and positive changes in my mind, body and soul. I believe that every person deserves to have access to juice as well, so they can experience how amazing it feels to live with great health.

We are reaching out to the community to help us fund the purchase of a cold pressed juicer for healthier, more convenient juice, as well as making the leap toward a 100% organic restaurant. With a cold pressed juicer, customers will be able to enjoy our juice at their favorite yoga studio, gym, and other locations when they are unable to get to us. We were recently informed that the cold pressed juicer we are looking to purchase is marked down as an end of year promotion. To lock in the deal we will need to put down a $2,500 deposit by December 31. The entire bundled package of the juicer, grinder, warranty, and bags is marked down 20%. Leaving us with a total cost of $14,500. We will also need bottling equipment which runs from $1,500 to $2,000. That would leave us with about $3,500 to buy top quality glass bottles, labeling equipment, and help build our organic garden.

As we open our doors again, we invite you to enjoy a simplified, transparent menu signifying which items are organic and which are not, allowing you to make informed decisions about what you choose to eat when you dine at Oasis. Our ultimate goal is to be 100% organic, with as much farm to table produce as we can harvest. For the time being, we will offer those organic items which we can afford and gain access to. We would like to continue serving Galveston as a wholesome place to enjoy healthy, clean, and simply delicious foods. All we want to do is give back to the community that has given so much to all of us.
