Kalmarbygdens fältrittklubb behöver nya hästar, utbildning och en ny ramp för att funktionsnedsatta skall kunna rida.
The equestrian club KBF needs new horses, training and a ramp to make it possible for disabled children to ride (full English content below the Swedish).
I Kalmar kan särskolor få komma till ridklubben KBF och rida på hästen Hebbe. Barnen växer på Hebbe. Deras kroppar stärks, de får röra sig och vara nära ett levande djur. Det finns barn som hittat ett språk de tidigare inte haft på Hebbes trygga rygg. Även när de inte sitter på hästryggen mår barnen bra av närheten till de stora djuren. Hebbe och stallet är en viktig del av särskolans verksamhet, ett sätt för både barn och personal att må bra och växa.
Men Hebbe kan inte själv bära alla barn i området och om ett par år går han i pension. Dessutom lever KBF på marginalen. Den enda inkomsten är medlemsavgifter, föreningsstöd från kommunen, ideellt arbete, och lite sponsorstöd. Klubbens inkomster räcker inte ens till det nya tak och det underlag som lagts i ridhuset. Samtidigt vill KBF vara en ridklubb för alla, utan höga avgifter. Nästan alla i klubben jobbar utan ersättning. Hjälp till att hålla ridning för funktionsnedsatta levande vid KBF med ett bidrag till en eller flera nya hästar!
En häst för funktionsnedsatta barn måste vara trygg och lugn i alla lägen, som Hebbe. Den tar lång tid att träna och är därför lite dyrare än vanliga ridskolehästar. Dessutom krävs en ramp och en lyftanordning för att säkert få barnen i sadeln. En ny häst och utbildningen av hästen kostar 50 000 – 65 000 SEK, två hästar det dubbla, och rampen kostar 20 000. Ju mer pengar klubben får, ju bättre kan vi stöda denna viktiga verksamhet.

In English: A new Hebbe: horseback riding for children with disabilities
In the small city of Kalmar, school classes with disabled children are given the opportunity to come ride on the horse Hebbe. The children grow when the sit on Hebbe. Their bodies become stronger, they get to move about and be close to a living animal. There are even children who have found a language that they have not had earlier when sitting on Hebbe’s safe back. When they are not riding, the children still enjoy being close to the large animals. Hebbe and the stables are an important part of these classes, a way for both the children and their teachers to feel good and to grow.
But Hebbe cannot carry all the children in the area and he will need to retire in a few years’ time. Unfortunately, KBF is a club with very little money. The only income is from members’ fees, support from the municipality, volunteer work, and some sponsoring from local companies. The money do not cover the expenses and won’t even cover the new roof and the new floor in the riding stable. At the same time, KBF wants everyone to be able to afford to join the club, so members’ fees must be kept low. Almost everyone who work at the club do so voluntarily, withouth getting paid. Help to keep horseback riding for disabled children alive at KBF by giving a contribution to one or more new horses suitable for this purpose!
A horse that carries a disabled child must be safe and calm at all times, just like Hebbe. Such horses take a long time to train and are more expensive than regular horses. In additon to this, there is the need of a ramp and a crane to lift the children into the saddle, A new horse and training for this horse costs 50 000 – 60 000 SEK, two horses double this amount, and the ramp is 20 000 SEK. The more money the club gets, the better it can support this important activity.
Help KBF to continue, perhaps even to increase, the work they do for the classes of disabled children in the area.
