I need your help please to go for advanced cancer treatment abroad after doctors here have told me there is nothing more they can do for me.
I was diagnosed with advanced Stage 4 Colon cancer which had spread to the liver. The challenge is tumours in the liver are wrapped around 2 of the 3 veins and are on the third and advancing.towards shutting down the liver which is fatal. My medical team say neither an operation nor a transplant is an option. The cancer has a BRAF mutation and another V600 mutation off that, so it is not a normal cancer which is why doctors have found it so hard to treat.
I did 6 months on chemotherapy in 2015/16, had the primary tumour in colon removed in May 2016 but an operation on the liver was cancelled as too dangerous as the tumour had started wrapping itself around the third and final vein.
I had 3 sessions of TACE, targeted chemotherapy to liver but still the tumour increased. Then the colon tumour reappeared and in an inoperable place with a lot of pain and bleeding.
Currently I am on palliative chemotherapy but even the chemotherapy doctors admit, chemo works poorly with these mutations.
I would be so grateful for any help you might be able to give.
