My Dad has always been a man who tries his best ,works his hardest to provide for his family. He has always been the soul provider for the family, supporting 3 children and a wife.
My Father has always been the guy who will give you the shirt off his back, lend a hand with No expectations for anything in return. Just because he can. He has type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Over the last 10 years he has had dozens of bypass surgeries. Angioplasties ,stints , you name it, he's probably had it done once.
Last Christmas he was in VGH and had his baby toe amputated. Since Febuary he has been trying to get on social assistance and has been denied 3 times!
Both of my parents have tried to jump the hoops of the system and because he was self employed he has been denied. My two brothers and my self and my partner have been doing our best to get the things they need to survive. But this Christmas he was home until yesterday, He has gone back to VGH and is scheduled to go in this week to have his leg amputated. With all of the stress of being bed ridden for almost a year. Having his limb removed he will have a longer struggle to make ends meet. I am asking friends and family and people afar to help me help my dad Mike Survive! thank you all in advance for sharing, liking and possibly donating!
