Nova Vita Backpack Drive

It could be someone you know - your mom, sister, cousin, friend, someone you know of. Unfortunately far too many women in Canada and around the world suffer from domestic violence and all of the horrors and difficulties that come from it. That's why I've decided to run the first annual "Backpacks for Brainiacs" Backpack Drive for the Nova Vita Domestic Violence Shelter here in Brantford, Ontario.
I have always had a passion for education and the hope to help in any way. With that said, I'm hoping to help women staying at the Nova Vita shelter have one less thing to worry about by being able to provide them with a backpack and school supplies for their children for the upcoming September school year.
Backpacks for Brainiacs is a Non-Profit organization that I've started aimed towards empowering children through education, with the main purpose being providing them with the basic necessities (school supplies) to help them succeed in school. I thought it would be great to do a backpack drive annually so hence the creation of "Backpacks for Brainiacs".
My goal is to be able to provide the shelter with 20 backpacks which would have all of the relevant school supplies (for kids/teens in elementary and highschool). Any physical (gender neutral) donations or monetary donations to buy the supplies would be extremely appreciated; if you would like to donate supplies etc. please contact me and I will arrange a time and date to come pick them up.
