Take 'Liminality' play to Fringe

Donation protected
‘Liminality’ is the debut passion project of two young artists, who wish to take their creation to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. And we need your help to finance this creative endeavour.

Getting the chance to stage this play would be an amazing opportunity for a writer and an actor, trying to build a carrier out of their passions.

Laughter is the best medicine. So, please, support us in spreading an important message through laughter!

About the play:
Practically everyone can see a part of themselves represented in the theatre of the absurd. Plays such as 'Waiting for Godot, Happy Days and The Birthday party are especially relevant in times of social and political struggles. And in the years of Brexit, Trump and climate change, it is the perfect base for a social commentary of the modern world.

Liminality follows two unlikely friends, who both find themselves on the shore of the river Styx, unable to cross into the underworld. They occupy their time with discussions about their past lives, existence, history and a whole lot of nonsense. At its core the play provides a social commentary of the modern world and its utter ridiculousness whilst the rest of us attempt to find some sense to the madness

Liminality comes from an admiration for the originals and love for the unique comedic style it presents. We hope that by looking at the play through a contemporary prism, we can introduce the audience to Beckett, Camus, Ionesco and the theatre of the absurd, all the while carrying a message of hope, which was often understandably lacking from the originals.

The funds will pay the cost of the venue and accommodation.
