Northgate Needs Copy Paper!

Please help Northgate Elementary by donating copy paper! Copy paper, ink cartridges and staples are a huge expense for schools and our school is already running low. We still have the rest of the school year to go and we need your help. If you are able, please donate as soon as possible!
Northgate Elementary is one of the most culturally diverse schools in Seattle. Over 75% of our students qualify for free/reduced lunch and, per staff, over 20% of our students are currently homeless. 43% of students have limited English proficiency. 30 different languages are spoken at our school.
This year's budget was based on an enrollment of 200-225 students. We actually have 325 students attending our school this year!
Our school saves money by using free reading and math curriculums. Using free curriculums mean that worksheets are not provided, we have to do all of our own printing. Kindergarten-2nd grade classrooms are averaging about 300 sheets of paper per week (just for math worksheets). The reading curriculum require some classrooms to use about 300 pages per week as well. A number of teachers come into the building on weekends to print and prep for their upcoming lessons. Because we can not guaruntee that all families have access to internet and email; we also have to print all information and newsletters for families and send the papers home with the student.
Our students and staff face many barriers and challenges. We need the community to rally together to support the children and teachers at Northgate to help achieve academic success. Donating money for copy paper is one small way to make a very big difference! Without your donations I am afraid that teachers will take on this burden that they already cannot afford. Our teachers and administrators are compassionate and are working relentlessly to help our students. Your donations will help us by taking away this added stressor of running out of paper.
If you would rather donate reams of paper in person I would be happy to pick them up from you. For friends and family that I will see over the holiday break I can pick up the paper when I see you then :)
