Northeast Soccer Club KC jerseys

Donation protected

My name is Kacey Eis, and I am working with my friend Foday Kamara, the creator of Northeast Soccer Club KC, to raise money for new matching jerseys  for the soccer teams of refugee and immigrant children he coachs in Northeast Kansas City.

Right now, there are about 30 jerseys shared by over 100 players that must be returned after practice or a game. Many are accidently taken home or lost. We want to be able to give each player their own jersey, in their size, to take care of and be responsible for. The old sets will become practice jerseys.

Depending on how much money we raise, the funds will go towards these items in this order:

~100 matching jerseys
Socks
Shoes
Shin guards
Player fees

The $2,000 minimum will only cover jerseys and socks, so the more we raise the more complete jerseys we can fund!

With Foday's help, I plan to host a workshop in the spring teaching fundraising techniques and skills to the soccer club's players so that they can sustainably fund their summer program fees and all future expenses.

Your donation would be greatly appreciated, anything helps!
$7.50
= 1 jersey
$7.50 = 1 pair of shorts
$5 = 1 pair of soccer socks
$20 = 1 pair of soccer shoes

I would love your support!!

If you do not wish to donate but still want to help out, please share the link to this GoFundMe page and help spread the word.

Here is a little more background on Northeast KC and Foday's soccer program:

Northeast Kansas City, Missouri is home to many refugee children, who have been granted immigrant status having fled oppressions in their countries of Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East to settle here in the United States. While their parents are hard at work adjusting to a new life, the kids are all fortunate to attend public schools in the area and are assimilating to the midwest culture. Northeast Soccer Club was created by Foday Kamara, a refugee from Sierra Leone, to use soccer as a universal language to bring these children together with their peers and to provide them with an opportunity to live healthy lifestyles, foster positive change in their community, and, more importantly to have fun playing the game they all love.

With very limited resources, NESCKC has been able to provide regular training, soccer equipment, and occasional scrimmages against teams in the KCMO and KCK areas. Currently, Northeast Soccer Club has players ranging from U8 to U20. As more awareness has been organically raised in the community, younger children have come out of the shadows looking for an opportunity to join the club and play with their friends and to make new friends. One of the club’s goals is to not only sustain the progress made but to also expand the program to accommodate for the influx of players from different age groups and genders. The children in the community are relishing for some positivity in their lives, and it is a great cause NESC enjoys supporting.
