Norfolk Willow Tit conservation fund
Donation protected
The population of Willow Tits in Norfolk is just 15-20 known pairs and these are all around Swaffham Forest. This is now an 'island' population with no other Willow Tits in any surrounding areas for many miles. I have tried unsuccessfully over the past few years to attract them to nest boxes, I have now a new design which has worked very well in other parts of the UK. I have had 20 of these special design boxes made - at some cost. I also run several feeders around Swaffham Forest , two of which are now open to the public.
For just £12 you can sponsor your very own Willow Tit nest box - if your box is lucky enough to attract a nesting pair you will be taken to the box to see how things are going. You will of course be updated regularly by text or e-mail and notified when the box is up and if it has attracted any interest for any Willow Tits. Several boxes will be places in each known territory.
More donations means more boxes and hopefully more Willow Tits, I do not want to lose this population.
Smaller donations will fund the feeding at the various feeding stations around the forest.
