No Murder of this Woman's Business

I am working hard every day to save my woman-owned business, CC's Daiquiris, located in downtown Montgomery (AL).  I am a victim of my own success, having earned just enough in my first year to threaten the established order in this grand old Southern city.  As a result, the ordinance upon which I built my business model has been deliberately and indefinitely suspended, and the wait is on to see if we'll die out.   
So we are revising our business strategy which requires that we raise funds to both add food service to our business and also stabilize our operations in order to keep our customers coming to the shop and sticking with us.  This is not a request for a hand-out because we (the two women running this business) have put every available cent, both loan and personal dollars, that we have into the business; we have always had, and will always keep, "skin in the game" because we've seen what's possible with our dream.

Your support means that we will live on and continue to provide local jobs as well as serve as a model for other women, young and old, of what is possible as an entrepreneur if we can level the playing field.  I would be forever grateful to continue to be a meaningful and committed member of our community, as well as a role model to my daughters and to young women everywhere.  I'm proud of where this journey has taken me, and I just don't want to stop now.
