Replace my computer

On Wednesday morning I woke up to a blank screen. My desktop computer - bought in 2012, and having outlasted the video card, monitor, and mouse it came with - had finally given up the ghost. Something died, and I don't have a good way to find out what.

So I need to replace it.

I rely on this computer for work, recreation, and socialization; I have an old clunker of a laptop, but it doesn't run most of the software I use on a daily basis, and it's feeling its age too.

I've found a replacement - not one-to-one, but in the same place in the market my desktop occupied when it was new. The new computer (with upgraded graphics, so I can use Photoshop and Illustrator, and with built-in wifi, since my desk isn't near the router) will end up costing about $1,240 including taxes and shipping; I'm asking for a little more than that to cover GoFundMe's fees (2.9% plus $0.30 per donation).

I'm hoping to have this computer financed, but I'm still on the hook for the cost and I'd like to pay it off as soon as possible. And if I can't get financing - knock on wood - then getting the money together quickly is even more of a priority.
