No More Racism

When she moved, we took over watching the house for her. The prior tenant had just moved out and we were ready to move in the new tenant on December 1. Since it would be vacant for a few days we checked it the evening prior to leaving town and made sure it was locked up tight. We then went to spend Thanksgiving with our daughter as we do every year. While we were gone, sometime between Thanksgiving day and Monday, November 28 someone climbed in the window of the upstairs floor and demolished our house. Not only demolished our house but brought such hate and racism into her home by spray painting swastikas and white power all over. They wrecked every room. Nothing was spared. They even poured cement down the pipes. We had wanted to move to that home in a few years but this situation hurts so much I don't know if we'll ever be able to do so without remembering the hate that was brought into our home. People need to learn not to look at the color of peoples skin but at the persons character. We are all Americans, we are all in this together.
The purpose of raise money is to cover expenses to rebuild our home.
tell you all how much your support has meant to us. The insurance
will not cover as much as we thought it might, so you all having contributed
will be even more helpful than we imagined. I want to thank you all again and again
from the bottom of my heart for your love, support and donations, not only from
across the US, but from many other countries around the globe. Our faith
in human kindness is being restored, and we are filled with gratitude for the
sense of community we're able to feel again. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This go fund me page has raised more than we ever hoped for and we are definitely going to use what we can to unify and show Cincinnati that we all stand strong together, that these racist hate-filled acts are NOT accepted and that these small minded people are in the minority. I will be reaching out via the go fund me page and sharing the plans as they come together. To to the rest of you not in Cincinnati: stand strong, wherever you live we cannot let these people win. America's built on diversity and together we can all end this hatred. If anyone wants to join in and would like me to contact you personally please send me a message and I will send you my email.
