"Don't let the silly little things steal your happiness."

If anyone lived by this motto it was Nikita 'Kita' Cross. She was a single mother of 2, working and putting herself through college full-time. Nikita was set to graduate on May 15, 2016 from Stockton with her master's degree in Social Working and was apart of the Phi Alpha Honors Society.

Her beautiful soul was taken on April 23, 2016 at a family get together for a birthday party that was supposed to end in fun times and memories; only a permanent memory was made that day. She leaves behind her 18 year old daughter and 10 year old son who she was inspired by to do all it took to make a great life for them.

Kita's funeral is Friday, April 29th and as you can imagine, even with life insurance, it's not easy on the pockets to arrange. We, her family, ask that if you have it to give, any dollar amount contributed would greatly help lift the financial crisis we are left in to help support her children, her home and her funeral/medical expenses.

Please, shares and prayers are appreciated as much as any money you can put up to help this cause. Thank you very much for your consideration and your prayers.

I would like to take the time to say on behalf of the Coleman/Ganges/Cross and Burton's family, thank you to all that gave and to those who had not to give but still shared and kept us in your prayers and thoughts. We still have a way to go to meet our goal so our family can recover and pay off the finances involved with this tragedy and keeping her children comfortable. All you have done is very much appreciated from the bottom of our hearts and we sincerely thank you all for all you have given.

My condolences to the family of NIkita Cross--particularly her children. Her son is a student at one of our schools, and his Galloway family supports him at this difficult time and as he continues his education.
