https://www.dallasnews.com/news/crime/2018/05/22/body-found-floating-white-rock-creek-identified Greetings, this fundraiser has been set-up to assist Nicole’s family with the expenses associated with her final arrangements since there was no insurance policy.  Currently, a transport, Cremation, Urn & a memorial service at Golden Gate Funeral Home is what the family requests, and they have been provided a list of services from the consultation at the memorial home. Go Fund Me also charges a percentage of the amount raised, so we have an estimate. We’re asking for assistance in making this happen. She was a good friend of mine and others for about 20 years or longer. We transitioned together, confided in one another and we leaned on one another for strength and experiences in those days. Sisters! Nicole was a true gem.

Nicole was a very motivated, happy girl that loved to sing and be the center of everyone’s attention. She was a pioneer in the Texas Black Trans Community, and paved the way for many transfolk that came after her. A native of Dallas, Texas. If you’ve met her, she made you smile with kind words or her humor. She had a very generous heart, many of our trans sisters often had to retreat to Nicole and Fannies (her mother) house to escape the harsh reality that we often faced at our homes. She took one young trans lady that she admired so much (Lithos) under her wing and became her mom while Lithos was still in high school. We will surely miss our “Queen” and we hope that her spirit flies high and shines bright! Thank you so much for your help!

(A little history) On May 12, 2018  at approximately 7:26 PM, Dallas police were dispatched to the 6900 block of Merriman ParkWay regarding a body floating in the water at white rock Creek. Upon  arrival, officers discovered an unidentified individual deceased and in a severe stage of decomposition. When retrieved from the water the individual was wearing a black shirt and black scrub pants. The individual is a black transgender female approximately 5’3 and weighing about 130 pounds. The cause of death is undetermined.
