Tom's 10 year Anniversary

Hi, my name is Tom. I am a 15 year old student from Somerset. 10 years ago this October, I was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour inside of a cyst which was the size of an average egg. This tumour was located right on the centre of ny nerve system, meaning that surgery needed to be urgent and only time would tell as to whether it would be fatal or not. Fortunately, after operations and check ups, I was released from Frenchay hospital a few weeks later. After many appointments and check ups at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, I showed to be making a very speedy recovery and started to achieve tasks which I was told that I would never be able to do.The staff there were all incredible and I am so grateful for everything they have done for me over the past 10 years. Now, I am able to run around and play football with all of my friends, I do not suffer at all in any academic subjects and I have the same sociable skills as any other average 15 year old. And the scary thought is that I may not have been here today if it was not down to the outstanding service in which they had provided for me.
So due to the fact that this month marks the 10 year anniversary of my operation, I have decided that I would like to raise as much money as possible back to the hospital as a special way to say thank you. Whilst I was in hospital, I met so many other children some with the same health problems as mine and some who were there for completely different reasons. However, no matter what the issue was, we were all felt to feel important there and the staff could never do enouth for us. So If you have any spare money what so ever, please donate to this brilliant hospital. Whether it be £10, £5 or even 50p, all the money we can get will help! I plan to host a whole range of fundraising activities over the next few months too in order to help boost the donation amount even more.
