Stolen Outfitters Relocation Drive

$3,525 of $3,500 goal

Donald G Wooten  PIKESVILLE, MD

In 2009 Stolen Outfitters was born in Baltimore, MD. In 2010 it was given a body in the form of a shop built in the basement of our home in Pikesville, MD.  After 6 years of producing Stolen Outfitters apparel as well as completing jobs for various clients including Vegan Soul Fest, Free Dumb Apparel and the Black Running Organization, we are preparing to enter our next chapter of being in Lawrenceville, GA.

Among the many things we will be leaving behind, certain aspects of the shop will not only be missed but will have to be replaced. This is why we are going through GoFundMe to reach out to our overly awesome following to help us transition into this next chapter without a hiccough.

The $3500 we are seeking will be used to purchase the following:

Screen Drying Cabinet-
Our old house had a dark room. The new house has a 2 car garage. To compensate for the loss of a dedicated light-safe room, I have to invest in a light safe cabinet for screens in the curing process. Beyond being a quality control solution it is also a significant upgrade to the shop as a whole because it decreases the time required for screens to cure and the likelihood that they will be contaminated during the process.

Washout Booth-
The second addition needed is a washout booth. I used a plastic bin, back muscles and an utility sink to do washouts for 6 years. It worked but our new situation doesn't include a utility sink. The washout booth will save my back, decrease the amount of time it takes to reclaim screens and backlighting the washout booth will allow for more accurate washouts when developing screens.

Screen Racks-
We are at the 50 screen mark and it is passed time for screen racks. For the sake of order and to extend the life of the screens we depend on, these are a must.

The balance would be used for various supplies such as screens, tape, eco-friendly cleaning chemicals and -of course- ink.

Our move is scheduled for 3-26-16. We have already started to make provisions. This campaign is to ensure that house needs are kept separate from shop ambitions. All new equipment would be shipped to the new address so while the funds are needed immediately any funds received would not be used until we move.

The growth of this brand is important to my entire household and I would extend that to my community at large. We focus on positive imagery where it is a common practice to promote trendy concepts that lack substance. We have maintained this niche for several years in obscurity and would like to make full use of Georgia as a new direct market but also continue to further our online presence and following. It is of the utmost importance that my children see not only this home-based business grow and their Parents control it but they also need to see that the people power everything so that they might recognize their role in the future. If I can show them where we asked, what we offered in exchange and what we received FROM THE PEOPLE, they will understand that nothing is free and balance is everything.

My thanks for contributions will come in various forms of Stolen Outfitters discounts and goods.

I am overwhelmed w/ joy, optimism and pride in the people to say that -thankhs to selfless donations of the people- we have reached our $3,500 goal!!!

Now we can start the process of individually thankhing everyone who contributed to this moment and to begin the reward design that will be printed and shipped to the contributors who signed up for rewards. This is also when I will be able to start emailing off the discount coupons associated w/ contributions.

All contributors can expect an email from me w/ directions on how to get your goodies!

Due to the nature of GoFundMe , this Relocation Drive and certain unforeseen complications associated w/ our move, I will be leaving the campaign active until Sunday night 12am. I WILL begin the processes explained above but anyone that wants to contribute and make use of the benefits being offered CAN up until 12am Sun April 17 2016.

Thankh You to all who did contribute. Your support will not go to waste or without notice. You are truly appreciated!

After a few of the hardest days of our lives we are happy to say that we are en route to GA. We filled a whole moving truck, were charged $1300 MORE than we were quoted, had to fill our truck and car w/ things that couldn't fit on the truck....and still ended up leaving pieces behind.

Still we give thankhs.

If not for the gracious donations from the people we would have probably been downed by the extra charges. However, those monies being available allowed us to proceed w/ the move uninterrupted. Relocation fund indeed.

Still we campaign on.

Meeting the goal is more important now than ever because of the unforeseen expenditures. We will be a piece short b/c of the price hike for the move. Getting the shop back up and producing is of the utmost importance. Please take advantage of the rewards we are offering in exchange for your support and play a part in the writing of our next chapter.

Thank you to all the donors and to everyone taking the time out to read and consider this plea for aid!

Happy Friday! The future is upon us. Although our move date is tentative for this weekend, I'm still printing and still campaigning.

The people put up $2625 and we are forever grateful. Outside of this campaign there were also fundraisers at Entropy Boutique and The Land of Kush that further engrain the concept of how the people can empower one another and how having business can greatly aid in that pursuit.

Still we push on.

Another new piece was the 10" extension to the D-1000 conveyor dryer. This adds a bit of ease to production, allows more garments to be placed on the belt at once (increasing productivity) and allows heavier garments more room to balance out their weight (hoodies would slide backwards sometimes. Uncool. )

We are almost at the goal. If you have not made use of the rewards we are offering in exchange for your support, please take a moment and see if they appeal to you. We hope they do and you decide to and play a part in the writing of our next chapter.

We are at $2575 b/c the people weren't playing w/ their support. They they came through and we give thankhs.

Yesterday I made the first purchase. I decided to go w/ the Vastex Dri-Cab b/c I could pick up myself (saving about $150 s+h), it comes from a trusted brand and was about $800 cheaper than what I priced originally. I could also put it to use immediately running these last minute jobs before we move.

I got to see the rest of the equipment I plan to purchase. I got to do measurements and ask questions that helped me make the decision not to purchase anything else until I get to Georgia where it will be built. Invaluable information.

The campaign is still going. We are $925 shy of the goal but I am confident that we will meet it.

Please make use of the rewards we are offering in exchange for your support. That for sure not for show.
