Home for Humble Farmer in Jamaica
Hubert Ebanks resides in a small farming community called Flagaman, in the parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Hubert was born with a physical impairment that affected his leg, and over the years, proved to be a challenge affecting many areas of his life. Still, Hubert remained a hard working and humble farmer. His smile is infectious, and his kindness is sobering. Recently, the Ministry of Health in Jamaica deemed his home to be condemned as it is falling apart structurally, and has never had running water or a bathroom. The residents in this community came together to assist by contributing funds to begin the building of a new safe home for him, but those funds only took the project so far. As you can see in the pictures, Hubert's "new home" sits incomplete beside the unsafe/unfit home he is still living in. He has been given several notices to leave. Please consider donating so we can make a difference in Hubert's life by meeting this need. Not only will you be helping an individual, this act of kindness will be impactful for all in the community and will be the answer to many prayers being sent up on his behalf.
