New bike for Bob has Cerebral Palsy

My name is Aaron, I live in northern Colorado Springs. Bob is my neighbor, has been for several decades.
Bob has Cerebral Palsy, and thus cannot walk well, cannot drive, and cannot balance a normal bicycle. Bob is the nicest guy you will ever meet, and despite his disability, is a productive member of society. While there are thousands of perfectly capable homeless people standing on the corner begging for money, Bob rides a tricycle just to get to work. Bob has worked, again for several decades, as a librarian at a local hospital. He certainly doesn't earn much money, but he does it to help people. If you've never seen a person with Cerebral Palsy ride a tricycle, let's just say his commute makes Denver traffic seem quick.
Bob lives quite far from the hospital he works at, and rides the tricycle to the bus stop, where he locks it up, and rides the bus to work. Every. Single. Day. Bob, despite being over 60yo himself and disabled, is the primary caregiver for his elderly mother. He brings home food, on his tricycle.
Bob is one of the best people this city has the pleasure of calling its citizen. A year or two ago Bob upgraded to a new tricycle, it had 3 speeds which helped him on hills since he is getting older. Well about a week ago some scum stole his tricycle while he was at work. Bob now has to ride his older tricycle. It is only single speed, has a bent wheel, and only has a single brake. But he cannot afford a new one, and truth be told neither can I.
Right now I'm thinking the Komodo Cycling 24" would be the best bet, but I haven't decided for sure. I set $1,000 as my goal to cover all the costs, and to cover the best model for him. I WILL NOT make any money from this, and will prove that I bought the tricycle and gave it to Bob. This isn't for me, and I wish I could just buy the tricycle myself.
