100 km in 24 Hrs for Nepals Animals

My Name is Daniela Zysk and again, like last year I want to do something crazy and good at the same time. Last year, it was a charity half marathon in Nepal where a total of 102.000 pounds could be collected. The money will benefit primarily disadvantaged girls and young women. I could contribute my part with the help of your wonderful donations. Impact Marathon Series
This year, I would like to run the so-called Mega March in Cologne. This means, I am walking 100 km through the Eifel with a few hundred people in 24 hours.
Megamarsch
To let this all have a meaning, now you come into play.
Last year I was incredibly moved by this wonderful country, but also very saddened about the situation of the street dogs in Nepal. You find them around every corner. Other than in European countries, street dogs in Nepal have no external help from animal rescue organizations. The only help the dogs and other animals in need receive, is the help of Sneha Shrestha, a remarkable woman. She spends her entire income to keep her shelter "Sneha's Care" going. On a daily basis injured animals are being found in the streets of Kathmandu, are being brought to Sneha's Care to receive the much needed medical care. As well, Sneha's Care tries to neuter as many dogs as possible.

With the walk I would like to collect as much money as possible, to support this wonderful woman and her organization from afar. I will fly again to Nepal in October to help on site. I already thank you from the heart for your donation and I promise to make sure that it arrives where the help is needed.

Mein Name ist Daniela Zysk und auch in diesem Jahr möchte ich etwas Verrücktes anstellen und damit gleichzeitig etwas Gutes tun. Im letzten Jahr war es ein Benefizhalbmarathon in Nepal bei dem insgesamt über 102.000,- Pfund eingesammelt werden konnten. Das Geld kommt hauptsächlich benachteiligten Mädchen und jungen Frauen zugute. Ich konnte mit Hilfe vieler wunderbarer Spender_innen meinen Teil dazu beitragen. In diesem Jahr möchte ich den sogenannten Megamarsch in Köln laufen. Das heißt, ich wandere in 24 Stunden 100 km durch die Eifel mit einigen hundert anderen Menschen. Weitere Infos hier: Megamarsch
Nun soll diese Quälerei ja für irgendwas gut sein und da kommt ihr ins Spiel.
Letztes Jahr war ich in Nepal unglaublich berührt von diesem wunderbaren Land, aber auch erschüttert über die Situation der Straßenhunde. Es gibt sie dort an jeder Ecke. Im Gegensatz zu europäischen Ländern mit Straßenhunden gibt es in Nepal keine externe Hilfe von Tierschutzorganisationen. Die einzige Hilfe für die Tiere heißt Sneha Shrestha und ist eine bemerkenswerte Frau, die ihr gesamtes Einkommen in die Unterhaltung eines Tierheims mit dem Namen Sneha's Care steckt. Jeden Tag werden auf den Straßen rund um Kathmandu verletzte Tiere aufgefunden, die dorthin gebracht und ärztlich versorgt werden. Außerdem versucht die Organisation viele Hunde und andere Tiere zu kastrieren und zu sterilisieren, damit nicht noch mehr Tiere auf der Straße leben müssen.

Ich würde gerne mit meinem Lauf soviel Geld wie möglich einsammeln, um diese wunderbare Frau und deren Organisation von hier aus zu unterstützen. Ich selber werde im Oktober wieder nach Nepal fliegen, um vor Ort zu helfen.
