Ned Allen Rogers - Celebration of Life

Donation protected
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ned Rogers, director of Caring For The Hills. Ned passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Ned is considered a Chino Hills Icon and Hero for all he has done for the Chino Hills Community. Ned dedicated his life to the Los Serranos neighborhood, for over 60 years, with his wife Judy in helping those in need. Ned also directed Caring For The Hills, after Judy Rogers passed away in 2017. Ned was named the Chino Hills, 2023 Unsung Hero, for continuing Judy’s legacy in feeding and caring for the community.

Ned Rogers is a U.S. Army veteran. After his military service, Ned joined the U.S. Forest Service until he was 45 years old. Ned then went on to work for the Chino Valley Unified School District. Ned was an official with the Mount San Antonio College Track and Field program and the U.S. Paralympics Track and Field program for over 34 years.

All money raised will go to fund Ned's Celebration of Life Service, on April 14, 2024, at the Chino Hills Community Center. Remaining funds raised will go directly to Caring For The Hills, a non-profit 501(c3) organization, to continue the mission and legacy of Judy and Ned Rogers: Caring For The Hills.

Caring For The Hills gives food, clothing, school supplies, toys, and donated furniture to residents of Chino Valley that are in need. Caring For The Hills donates over 100,000 bags of groceries every year, 5 days a week from Judy and Ned's home.
