More information about Family Service of Rhode Island: Family Service of Rhode Island (FSRI) partners with the State Police, the Providence Police and the East Providence Police to help victims of crime address stress, anxiety, depression and other symptoms of trauma.

This work often includes "police ride-alongs," going on patrol with the police to intervene in troubled neighborhood to prevent crimes from happening and to immediately respond to the needs of victims.

FSRI staff follows up with victims to ensure access to counseling and emergency food and clothing, and to assist in navigating the criminal justice system.
