I am seeking to raise $25k to fully develop and manufacture my new invention.
My patent pending design allows for any line-level audio signal (eg. Microphone, guitar, keyboard, etc) to be transmitted via Wi-Fi, allowing for access, recording, and playback on a mobile phone.
The device takes the signal which is carried through an input jack, and converts the signal to digital format, transmitting it via Wi-Fi where it is then downloaded to the cell phone and converted back to analog allowing for playback.
My name is Michael Nalbone and in addition to a love of music, I have an extensive background in computer programming, electronics engineering, and telecommunications.
I am currently retired and live outside of Trenton, NJ.
I tell you this to let you know that I have the knowledge, background, and the time to make this happen.
This idea came to me as I was thinking about playing my electric guitar one evening. I didn’t have my amplifier on hand, but I did have my cell phone. I thought wouldn’t it be great if I could use my cell phone as an amplifier?
As I thought about it I realized that Wi-Fi would be the ideal way to make this happen, but when I Googled it I found that no such product exists.
I was shocked that no one has a device that transmits a guitar signal via Wi-Fi to a cell phone.
Here’s How It Works
1. Input any audio signal through either a ¼” mono or a 1/8” stereo input jack.
2. The input is sampled at 44.1kHz (CD Quality).
3. The signal is converted from analog audio to digital.
4. The digital signal is then transmitted to an app on your cell phone via Wi-Fi 802.11 (available on all newer phones).
5. The app and phone hardware convert the audio back to analog.
6. The audio is played out through the phone speaker.
