National Memorial for GWOT Veterans

60 years after the end of World War II, our nation enshrined it's pride in the service and sacrifice of the greatest generation with the dedication of the WWII memorial on the national mall. But when that memorial was complete, for every one WWII veteran who has lived to see it, 3-4 did not. We cannot let that happen to our current generation of veterans!!!
Now we are engaged in a generational fight in the Global War on Terrorism, spanning across the globe. Millions of military servicemembers, contractors, government employees, reporters, NGOs and civilians have supported this war effort and sacrificed more than imaginable. Never have so few bore the burden of so many.
As a member of the Board of Directors of the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation and as an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran myself, together with the rest of our team, along with the support of over 20 national Veteran Service Organizations, we are dedicated to the construction of a memorial for America's longest war on the national mall in Washington DC. As the memorials have become a place of rememberance and healing for past wars and their veterans, our memorial also will help heal and serve as a focal point for veterans from across the globe to come together and remember their service and fallen comrades.
Current legislation in Congress will authorize our foundation to begin the process of working with the federal agencies involved in selecting a site on the national mall for the memorial. Once the site is selected, we will hold a national design competition. When a design is selected, we can begin construction and eventually have the dedication by Summer/Fall 2024. However, the sooner we raise the funds, the earlier we will be able to have the memorial built.
Together with your donations, we can all ensure future generations of Americans and those who visit our nation's capital, never forget the brave service and sacrifice of those who volunteered to fight in defense of all which makes this country possible. Help be a part of this historic project and let us show America's current generation of veterans that we will never forget them.
The memorial cost estimates are between $30-50 million depending on what the design will be. With your support, we can get this built. As we were unified in ensuring we would never forget those who were killed on September 11th, I know we can come together now to ensure we never forget those who volunteered to respond to those horrific attacks.
Help us make this a reality and become a part of this historic project which will stand through the ages as a testiment to our unwavering and unified committment to defend freedom.
