With A Donation Of Only $16 We Can Feed A Family Of 4. Please Share This With Your Family And Friends. Thank You So Much!!!
Shawnee Community Services (SCS) is an independent 501c3 charity food pantry serving the Kansas City metro since 1982.
SCS needs $4,800 to purchase 300+ Thanksgiving meals. Perishables like milk and butter need to be purchased. Additionally non-perishables need to be purchased to make a complete Holiday family meal. Items like potatoes, green beans, corn, rice, sugar, gravy.
SCS will need the funds for the Thanksgiving purchases by November 15th for November 21st distribution.
In years past SCS was able to collect or purchase at discounted prices all the non-perishables and additional meats. This year the items have not been available at those discounted prices. Also in 2015 the SCS pantry has experienced a 20% increase in services in the everyday pantry program distribution using everything we might have been able to put toward Holiday packages.
Thanks to your generosity, these families in need will be able to experience complete Thanksgiving meals. SCS will not be able to provide these Holiday Family meals without your support!
All contributions are tax deductible. Paper tax receipts can be provided by SCS upon request.
