Help Save Our Home

** UPDATE ** : Negotiations are in progress to work with the HOA. The balance will still need to be paid off, but family has stepped up to try and help us cover some of it. Due to attorneys fees and the like, the goal has gone up to 3700. Whatever we can raise will be a BIG help to help settle the debt!

My household is in a state of emergency. The very place we live is being threatened. We need help.

I live with my best friend and her husband, Emily and Rob Fry. The Fry's have had their knock of rough luck, and filed for bankruptcy a few years back. They've been making their payments and all has seemed well. They had about 1.5 years go before that's settled. Everything has seemed fine...

Things are not fine.

Last night we found out our HOA is trying to put a lien on the house and get it foreclosed on over $3,000 that wasn’t included in the bankruptcy. Just that much, and they want to take our home! We're all living pretty much at our means. Rob is a full-time worker at UPS for over 20 years, there's no way he could take a second job. Emily is diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, and though she's tried, her body simply will not allow her to work. (And trust me, she's tried. She misses working). And I'm already working the maximum amount of hours I can as a CNA in order to keep my financial help with attending college to become an RN.

Essentially? We're backed into a corner, and looking at two option.

We sell the house, which none of us are prepared for or can do financially or with our current pets. They have two elderly dogs, and two cats, one of which has health complications.  I have three cats of my own. Finding places to go once the house was sold would be a nightmare. 

Our second options is we raise $3,000 to pay of the HOA debt and save our home. 

So, here I am. Asking, even begging for help. Please help us save our home. We want to stay. :(
