❤️ I Love You, Dad! ❤️

Hello Family & Friends,
I am Kelly Bruette and I’m writing on behalf of my father, Ed Bruette. My father was involved in a horrible motorcycle accident on Thursday, 6 September in Asheville No. Carolina. Dad and his bike went off a 40’ cliff, hit 2 trees and landed with his bike on top of him. Dad has 2 broken legs, a fractured back (L6, L8), fractured neck (C4), a fractured left scapula, bruised ribs and (now removed) stitches in his lip and chin. Mission Hospital released and transferred Dad to CarePartners, a long term Rehabilitation Facility, on 13 September.
All of that being said, I am extremely grateful and happy beyond belief to announce that Dad is tentatively scheduled to be released this Thursday, 4 October to come back home!!! Dad is in great spirits and looks forward to the confines of being “Home Sweet Home!” We have a long road ahead of us but knowing Dad, he will continue to surpass any/all recovery expectations and will be back to his wonderful active self sooner than later. Insurance is great and it covers most but not all of what is necessary to bring Dad back home. Any and all thoughts, prayers, well wishes and donations are more than appreciated at this time. Thank you all very much for your continued thoughts and prayers!!!
Sincerely,
Kelly Bruette
On a side note, Thursday is also my Mom’s Birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!! My Birthday was a week ago AND I cannot think of a better gift in the entire world than having BOTH of my parents back home!!! ❤️❤️❤️
