Cancer sucks and is expensive
I have always been self sufficient and fiercely independent but I find myself in a position now where I need some help. I have a very hard time asking for and accepting help but damnt Cancer is very expensive. So if you are in a position to contribute to my cause ...me I would appreciate it so very much. Thank you in advance and send lots of positive energy my way . Kathleen Zuidema
I can't I made it to another Christmas . It looked pretty grim last year . My doctors say it's miraculously.
I just finished 15 rounds of intense radiation on a renagade tumor in my lung that grew 5 cm in three months. Bastard . So we waged war on it. Now we wait a few weeks for the radiation effects to peak and start to recede. I'll see my oncologist on the 28th and will find out if I will be starting a new intense chemotherapy or go back on Opdivo. So it continues trying to squeeze out more time.
I will stay positive and will keep fighting so I can have another glorious summer on San Juan Island.
Thanks for all your support and positive feedback
Thank you for being one of the 'good ones' in this world Kathleen! Reading your story, while holding back some tears, I realized that what you are doing for your 'babies' is probably one of the most kind and caring things I've ever heard. I'm sending love, good energy, and healing thoughts to you. Give your babies a nice big hug from Colorado for me!
Kathleen, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm sorry you are going through this difficult journey. Your wonderful dogs are your family...I love how you are thinking of them first and want to ensure they are taken care of ...since they bring you such joy and love, I hope that you are able to keep them and find family and friends to help take care of them so you can continue to have their unconditional love and support at a time when you need each other the most. God bless you.
Im a stage 3 BC survivor I had my pups around 24/7 as well ... they helped just by being there... I was just wondering if you have tried the Rick Simpson Oil... its affordable and helps.. It doesnt take much and it doesnt make you high.... You get the medicinal not recreational. ... Prayers are with you and your Posse! ... ♥ ♡
Hi Kathleen I am hoping that your treatments are successful and you can keep your beautiful fur family together. If you do have to find a home I have a website with over 25,000 pet loving people on it. I can post it there. Just let me know. You can message me on For The Love Of A Pet on facebook.
I'm ELATED to hear of your progress when I seen your original post on Facebook then found an update..You're an amazing person to fight yet worry about your precious furkids home in last stage cancer when others would say you needed to focus on you. This is Gods gift watching you enjoy many more precious years with your family and furkids, such a of your lack of selfishness when you were so sick and act of courage to post for a home who I imagine are your children like mine are..I lost my uncle my age a year ago to this disease and am so happy for you and your babies it brought me to tears.. Keep fighting the good fight for your family and those furkids! God Bless you all..
Hey Kathleen use your go fund me money and buy one of these machines. I was stage four liver mets in June when I started using it (I did 6 chemo treatments as well) and knock on wood my 4 tumors are now a non active memory with no progression ... I stopped chemo in September so all I've been doing is using the rife machine ... It's worth a shot! http://www.rifedigital.com/
Kathleen-Cancer does suck and it is extremely expensive. I know that one in three of us will be touched by this awful word at some point in our lives. I read your story with tissues close at hand and a heavy heart for your struggle to find a loving "furever" home for your wonderful doggies. I am glad to see the positive update and that you are still fighting strong. May you continue to find strength and peace in knowing that you have touched so many people that you will never meet in person. Your story of hope and determination will give strength to others who may feel at times have none. Sending you a ton of hugs and prayers from Spanaway, Washington. God Bless you... ♥
As a cancer survivor, mom, and mom of a fur baby, my heart goes out to you on so many levels. Your Aussie Posse is fantastic and remind me of my dear Stella - an Aussie-Sheltie mix that was the best dog, nurse maid and nanny you could ask for. I'm so glad I rescued her and taught her people aren't all ugly and mean. She rescued me right back. Although I'm on the other side of the country - should you need it - your posse is welcome in my home in a moment's notice. Say the word and my vet will contact you ASAP! I wish you love, light and peace.....and many hugs to you and the posse!
I don't know you, but I hope you keep fighting! My family are animal lovers too. Our doggies are our babies their names are Lillybell, Alice and Buddy. I would take in your babies for you if you need someone to love them! Unfortunately, I live far away from you in Indiana. Keep your babies as long as you can they will help you have the will to fight this horrible diaease! My husband beat Cancer last year.. You can do this!! Lets pray this Last Chemo kill those tumors in your liver. You have alot of people pulling for you!!
Dear Kathleen, I read about your story today on Facebook and it brought me to tears. I'm so sorry to hear about what you are going through these days. But I am also glad you shared your story because it touched so many of us and also showed how many people out there care and also love animals and want to help you find a home for your Aussie Possie. I'm hopeful you will find the right person or family to help you with them when the time comes. Stay strong and I and I am sure many others are praying for you and wishing you and your pups well. I was recently diagnosed with early stage breast cancer and I am in the first phases of treatment. Getting this diagnosis got me interested in reading about cancer treatments. I read about conventional treatments as well as alternative treatments. I know you've been down a long road already with your treatments and I hope you wont be frustrated about people posting about alternative treatments here....we just want to help. So if you feel up to it I will post a few links here for you to check out if you like. One book that has been helpful to me is "Outsmart Your Cancer" by Tanya Harter Pierce. Also "Knockout" by Suzanne Somers has been surprisingly helpful. And I've recently discovered this very healing musical experience called WholeTones. You can do a Google search for it or go to http://www.wholetones.com . Wishing you all the best for your and your furry family!
