Please Help Me Save My Dog

Donation protected
I have two Jack Russell Terriers, both rescues that are part of my family.  My female is Jackie and she is 9 years old and has been with me  since she was about 4 months old.  My male is Woody and he is 6 years old and he has been with me for 3 years.  I take excellent care of my dogs and feed them premium food and give them excellent care.

On the morning of Wednesday, November 29th, 2017, Jackie refused her breakfast  and vomited later that morning and acted as though she didn't feel well.  I came home from work and she refused her dinner also and proceeded to vomit a couple more times.

Thursday, November 30th, 2017 I called my vet and asked to bring Jackie in for an evaluation.  They made a 10 am appointment to see her and I took her in.  They took some blood and did and exam and said she probably had some pancreatitis but we would need to wait to see what the labs showed and sent her home on two meds.  My bill was $328.

She showed no sign of improvement overnight and was becoming dehydrated so Friday morning I called my vet numerous times and relayed information and concern to each person I spoke to and emphasized she wasn't doing well and needed to speak to the vet or someone that could help.  They finally called me back at 5:17 pm and told me to bring her over.  I loaded her in my SUV and was ready to leave and they called me again, told me not to come and said they could double book her for 12/2/2017 (Saturday morning) because they were closing at 6 pm  12/1/2017-Friday night and could not see her now.  Why would they do this to me and my dog, tell us to come and turn around and call and tell us not to come.? I knew my dog was not going to make it without being able to drink or eat.

I took her immediately to VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center where they provide Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.  They evaluated her, prescribed different medications, gave her some subcutaneous fluids and let me bring her home.  She continued to regurgitate at home and had bloody diarrhea, so I called them at 5 am Saturday 12/2/2017 morning, and they said to bring her in.  She was admitted and has been there since.  I was told she has pancreatitis and they have been trying to get her symptoms under control and keep her hydrated and get her to eat.  They have told me she will make a full recovery but it will take time.  I have visited her twice a day and held her in my arms and loved on her and let her know she needs to fight and get better because the care team of vets say she can.
I am a single woman and I work full-time and care for and support my elderly mother that is crippled with Rheumatoid Arthritis and cannot support herself.  I have spent all the money I have to this moment of $4075 of which I am using care credit to pay $3500 of that amount and is a debt I cannot afford, but will have to pay back and Jackie still needs to be in the hospital and have more testing and care to be stable enough to bring home, which is projected to cost me an additional $1775 on top of the $4075 in charges I have already paid.

I have never asked anyone for help and I have always worked two jobs if I had to, to be self-supporting and sufficient.  Right now though I am in desperate need of additional funds to save my dogs life and give her the opportunity and chance and time to make the full recovery that the vets have told me she will make.  I would be so very grateful and appreciative of any financial contributions to pay for her care so that she can get back to life and be healthy again.

I will use whatever donations I receive for her veterinary care, hospitalization and recovery.  Any funds I might receive beyond that I will help other pet owners with emergency situations like this to help pay for their pets care at the place where my dog is.  I just want my dog to get well and have a fighting chance.  I need the help of my fellow dog and animal lovers to make this happen.  I need these funds ASAP to keep her treatment plan going.

My dog is my best friend.  I love her beyond description and she has been by my side through thick and thin.  She is all that matters and I want to help her make it through this so she can run and play and have her quality of life back.  Please help me.  I don't want to face a day without her and I can't afford to do this all on my own.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of my unfortunate circumstances.  I sincerely appreciate any help anyone can provide.
