My BIGGEST Journey: WL Surgery

Donation protected
***EMERGENCY!!! THIS PAYMENT IS DUE MARCH 2018. ANY LITTLE BIT HELPS*** Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my story. Now, I’m going to be very honest here and start off with saying I am not one to ask for any hand outs, ever. So this hurts my pride a bit making one of these, but I figured I would give it a shot and see if there are helpful people in this wonderful world of ours. I have been looking at weight loss surgery for about 5 years now. Do to never having insurance, I never push for it. So instead I did the diets, the hard work, worked full time jobs that had 15+ hour days and so on. I work and train horses, which is my passion in life. I have been many places, but sadly do to my weight, I have also had to let go of many places. I hyper extended both knees, sprained ankles, have had join injections in my feet, came close to a seizure, sick and have a hard time sleeping. I was up to taking 8 pain pills 2x a day just to get through the long hours on the farm and then coming home limping or even crawling on the ground due to feet and ankle pain. All this I have been through, but never stopped. Even when I had a Doctor tell me I could get to the point of never walking again if I kept working the way I do being this heavy. Horses mean that much to me. My husband and I married and just bought our first small horse farm. My dream is to run my own farm, have clients and horses. But as many careers, image and being able to do tasks is huge in the equine world. People look at me, a 300lb woman and don't wish for me riding their animals or if I do, I get many looks. Looks don't bother me, but I want this to be a success and use the skills I have learned and naturally have with these animals in the field. To do this I need to be in better shape. I am planning on getting the Gastric Sleeve. This is one of the safest of the weight loss surgeries and will help me in my weight loss journey and horse training career by giving me new life. I have already started the 6 month journey to surgery. Today, I have 2 months to go and a $6000 down payment to have up front to get this done in March of 2018. My insurance covers the rest, but since I have been out of a job for some time now and just getting back into a part time job, I will not come close to having the funds ready for this next step in life. I cover my student loans and other animal expenses. My husband already helps so much that I can't ask him for any more. So here I am asking people I know or even don't know to maybe lend a helping hand. Any bit helps. It is better then nothing at all. I am praying this surgery pushes me in the right direction. The recovery road is long and a lot of work, but I have never been more ready for this step as I am now. I thank all those in advance who offer their kindness. You shall never be forgotten <3 Tena
