We’re writing you today to request your help. As most of you know, we’ve never asked for a dime for our podcast, and we don’t intend to. As Nathan Gilmour is fond of saying, this is a hobby for us, and we’re more than happy to provide you with our podcasts for nothing other than the pleasure we get from hearing from you. We don’t plan on ever charging.
But our co-host David Grubbs has recently taken a job in Houston, and the move from Kansas has left him without much money for the next few months. We’d like to raise enough money from you, our listeners, for him and his family to buy home internet for the next year. Besides making their lives in general easier, this will also make it easier for us to record the podcast this fall—and it’s the only way Katie Grubbs will be able to appear on The Christian Feminist Podcast and Christian Humanist Profiles—and so it will indirectly benefit you as well.
