My Son--Gone Too Soon

45...that's how young my son, Edward Lehigh II, was when he passed away suddenly in his sleep on June 20.  It was so unexpected, even though he had several medical issues.  I had just seen him the day before when he delivered my Father's Day card, and he seemed to be doing well.  I'm so glad I had that chance to see him one last time and have him tell me "I love you, Dad".

He was not able to work for the past two years due to his health problems, and he was in the process of trying to get Social Security disability with little progress.  Money was always tight, and he could not afford insurance and sometimes even his needed medication.

Money collected here will go to defray the costs of his funeral; any extra money collected will be given to his sons, Eddie III and Jon.  If you would prefer to send a check directly to me (his father), please make it out to Edward Lehigh. 

Thanks to all who attended Ed's service. It was a beautiful day to celebrate his short time with us. We will keep this gofundme page open for a few weeks if anyone would still like to help with funeral costs. We greatly appreciate those of you who have contributed so far.
