My "I'm Broke(n)" Emergency Fund

Donation protected
At the beginning of this month, January 2017, I lost my job due to what the company considered excessive absences. It has been increasingly difficult to work a normal 40 hour work week (with commute) due to my ongoing issues with chronic pain and Depression (with a capital D), I tried to set up a modified schedule with them through my doctor but they wouldn't compromise and well, here I am.

I just found out today, that any kind of Unemployment Insurance is currently in limbo and may not be processed for up to another 10 days (!) but she also told me that because I have ongoing medical issues and I had tried to modify my schedule, they may deny my Unemployment because a condition of me getting it is that I have to be able to work and they may decide that I can't. Either way, I may not have an answer until close to mid-February.

What I'm primarily concerned about right now is being able to pay my rent and not get evicted. I did set the amount that I need to raise higher because, honestly, I don't know what's going to happen and it's hard to not be extra anxious about anything unknown right now. Especially given how fast things are falling apart. I may have to look into the reality of having to rely on Disability - if that's even a possibility. And if anyone has any advise or wise words, regarding the Disability system, I am all ears on that.

Anyway that anyone can help is greatly appreciated. Also, thank you for taking the time to read this. <3 <3 <3
