My Car is Melting

So... financial troubles are no stranger to me. I was already wondering how I was going to pay next months bills when I got pulled over because my headlight is out.

I go to the garage to find out it is not a 30 dollar bulb replacement, but a 200 Plus dollar connector that needs to be ordered because it melted.

MELTED.

And "Oh, by the way... You also need these things done too because this is rusting and that's leaking and that also melted ...."

So I was quoted between 3-6.5k worth of repairs, depending on what had to be done now and what could be put off till inspection time. Which will be even worse for me financially

Center Pipe/Muffler rusting/leaking at connection - 1150
Head Gaskets (Already leaking, probably going soon)- 1850 
Tires (Before Winter) - 757 (though they recommend getting a cheap set somewhere but the last time I did that, I did more damage to my car because the tires weren't the right fit for the car)

Grand total is 6386

Which is yes, more than I'm asking for. But I doubt I'll even get what I'm asking for out of this so... *shrug* I can hope though, right? 

Please help. I'm the sole supporter of a family of 3 and this is our only transportation.
