Help Sarah Build a New Home

Donation protected
Sarah’s a close friend of mine who is in serious need of a new home.

What happens when you wake up every morning? If you’re like me, you blink a few times, groan, and then roll out of bed.

Not Sarah.

Many days, Sarah will wake up to fever, chills, a migraine, and whole-body pain. Simple, everyday daily tasks that you and I take for granted – like cooking, eating, going to work - are a struggle.

That’s because Sarah battles chronic pain due to Lyme disease, Fibromyalgia, and host of other autoimmune issues and extreme allergic reactions.  Most notably, extreme allergies to most houses.

Most “normal” homes cause her to feel sick and her health to deteriorate. Some houses trigger migraines, others fibromyalgia attacks, chronic fatigue, and asthma.

She is a hard worker, when she is able. On her good days, she’s a lovely singer, pianist, artist and "house fixer-upper." But on her bad days, she’s a rag doll curled up in the fetal position on her bed.

And she has enough bad days that holding a job and earning a living are impossible.

She’s lives with her brother in a small house rebuilt to be “Sarah Friendly.” But this was never meant to be a permanent living sitaution and Sarah must move out. And she has nowhere to go that doesn't make her feel ill.

She has family that would take her in, but even moving back in with her parents isn't an option – she gets so sick at their house that she’s stuck with bronchitis if she stays for more than a few weeks.

Sarah lives to serve others. She cares deeply about *people* and gives freely of her time to help, mentor and encourage them in faith and life, in spite of her health challenges.

Now we can give back to her.

We want to build her a micro-home that will not compromise her health. “Sarah’s Ark” will be a 9x20’ trailer, custom-made with materials that won’t make her sick.

One of her friends is donating his time to design it. A bunch of other friends are ready to be the work crew to build it. The only thing she doesn't have is the funds for materials.

Any contribution you can give will make this dream that much closer to reality. It's a chance to do good to the household of faith. We can’t solve her health issues, but we can give her a place to live that will contribute to her wellness!

Thank you so much for your consideration. Even if you can't donate, your prayers are appreciated.
