Talented Artist Expanding Horizons
Hi! I'm Quinton.... a classically trained Operatic Vocalist (Counter-Tenor), Multi-Instrumentalist, Composer, DJ. Seasoned Musical Theater Performer.
My Instrumental repertoire includes Piano, Guitar, Bass, Western & World Percussion, Penny Whistle, Jaw Harp, Didgeridoo, and Tibetan Singing Bowls
I am in involved with two amazing live/studio projects as the lead vocalist of an original duo called "Fezzywig" (blues based in roots with a little bit of jazz and folk)... and also as the Keyboard Player/Backup Singer of an outstanding Pink Floyd tribute band called "Eclipse The Sun".... I also invest a great deal of time towards both my craft as a DJ in the Vancouver electronic music scene as"DJ EUPHORIKx", and as an independent producer of both organic and electronic music.
Financial support would allow me to achieve my goals all of which are very time consuming and expensive. but extremely rewarding in the end. There are four essential areas that funds will be focused upon:
1-Three Electronic Press Kits (epk's)
for each project...Fezzywig, Eclipse the Sun, and EUPHORIKx . This will require studio time (including studio space, sound engineers, session musicians (bass, keys, drums, violin, chello, brass etc). a photographer for head-shots, and a Cameraman to capture enough footage to give social media a few good video clips to circulate
2-Advertisement and Promotions
through local Arts and Leisure newspapers, Social Media Website Promotions (Facebook, Mixcloud, SoundCloud, Band Camp, Spotify, Reverb Nation, Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, etc), Branding (Posters, Business Cards, CD Art & Duplication, Production Company Logos, Graphic & Website Design)
3-IndoorOutdoor Event Costs
(Event Promotions, Venue Rental, Ticket Float, Visuals, Security, Gas Generator & Large Tent Rentals)
4-Equipment & Hardware
(reliable performance laptop, dedicated audio production tower, Ipad, four terabyte backup external SSD, home studio moniters, Maschine MK2, Traktor Kontrol Z2, pre amp, mic stand, condensor mic,, shock mount, pop filter, xlr & patch cables,) Repairs to current equipment (Roland Phantom G6)
I hope to raise funds within 4-6 months...
This gives me a realistic timeframe to smooth out all of the loose ends, and get the epk's polished off and ready for promotion at the end of the summer season.
I have been on a musical path for as long as I can remember... From a very young age, I acknowleged that being a professional musician was not always going to be easy, and that many challenges would present themselves along the way... But with dedication, hard work, discipline, and a positive attitude....success is always sure to follow.
