Music for Attawapiskat

Free Music Reolution was created by my husband.
It's a "charity" that he runs. It allows him to give a musical intrument to someone who wouldn't normally be able to purchase one, for whatever reason.
It works on dontations. Nick uses the power of social media and word of mouth, to come into contact with people who have musical instruments they are not using. These instruments are donated in any condition.
Nick then fixes and cleans them to get them prepared for thier new home.
Then, using social media, he asks people to write to him with thier story as to why they are seeking an instument.
A name is then drawn, and a lucky person goes home with a "new to them" musical instrument.
To date Free Music Revolution has donated 17 musical instuments to some very thankful and happy budding musicians. These included guitars and amps, a violin and a trumpet. Free Music Revolution DOES NOT discriminate. EVERYONE who needs help, gets a fair chance.
Free Music Revolution would like to start a crowd fund to help send music to the youth of Attawapiskat.
Our campaign includes donations of cash and donations of ANYTHING music related.
Have a guitar that is collecting dust? An old MP3 player with some ear buds? An electric guitar that makes wierd noises when plugged in?
Then send them to us (or we can pick up in the Greater Ottawa area). The instruments will be cleaned, repaired (if needed) and stored correctly until they can be shipped.
The cash would be used for transportation, purchasing new instruments and parts (ie. strings, pickups). Attawapiskat is far, and with no way of transporting these items ourselves, we need help!!
Music can change ones surroundings without even leaving where you are.
It fills the heart.
You feel it in your soul.
We think giving the youth of Attawapiskat the gift of music, could make an impact in some of these young lives.
Free Music Revolution will do everything it takes to make sure the Youth of Attawapiskat benifit from this fund!
