One Light Rwanda operates in the rural region of Musanze, in the northern part of the country. Its mission is to ensure that every child and family - especially the least fortunate and most vulnerable - have access to health care, education and an opportunity to break free from poverty.
One Light currently helps 30 families (147 people) in the villages of Gacaca, Cyuve & Muhoza and provides them with school supplies, uniforms, school fees and micro credit.
Education is the key to success, that is why our new project is to build a vocational school with 3 classrooms so that the youngsters and adults from surrounding villages can learn a career, get a better life, escape poverty and be an example for the next generation. The specialized trainings in tailoring, tapestry and mechanics will respond to local businesses demand and facilitate a better insertion of the students on the job market.
Your donation means a lot. 10 or 20 dollars/euros can help us buy building material, build a window, pour concrete or get chairs for the future school. No donation is too small :)
