On this long challenging 3 month solo journey I was to meet many Aboriginal communities and their elders,,,I was totally shocked by the disease and injuries these people were living with, and even more saddened by the fact they are Australia's forgotten people with little in the way of aid or medicines to improve their 1700s living conditions.....
I saw with my own eyes LEPROSY, SYPHILIS, TOXOCARA BLINDNESS, CATARACTS, AMPUTATIONS, DIABETES, DENTAL DISEASE, KIDNEY DISEASE the list goes on,,,,,from my observations of several months, little is being done to actually help,,,just lots of words from inept uncaring Governments,,,,
I intend to fully equip a motorcycle ambulance with first aid and medical supplies,,,returning to the far North in August 2019,,I am a highly qualified and competent COMBAT MEDIC and have dealt with these conditions many times in my military career..
I also intend to fully photograph and document what I see and treat bringing the results back and educating an ill informed public...We can continue to ignore the fact AUSTRALIAN children are dying in our own country, or like me we can actually do something without being hamstrung by political agendas
