Just as the Foxes (Karen, Jackie and Ellen)  were about to celebrate Karen and Ellen's birthdays, tragedy struck at the Schwettman household, burning her house to the ground.  The good news is that she and hubby Gene, (also an important part of FoxTale) escaped without injury, but they lost their beloved pets in the blaze and, quite literally, everything they owned.

The family covets only your love and prayers, but we know there will be huge expenses associated with this loss.  Many friends have already asked what they can do to help.  This is one way you can.  Thanks in advance for all your love and support.

Karen sent the following message:
Hey y'all, Gene and I are so, so grateful for everything. I can't even put words to the way we feel or wrap my head around the outpouring of love, prayer and kindness shown to us by so many. Family, friends, neighbors, authors, customers, American Red Cross, co-workers and beautiful strangers have touched our hearts beyond measure. All the Glory be to God.
Gene and I are staying in a hotel temporarily until we work out our temporary living arrangements. It looks like we will be able to rent a small home next door to our Daniel & Natalie's house. Having them and three of our grandbabies next door will be a great comfort. We are open to His plan, surely, there is one. I bought a Bible yesterday; I had so many at home and took that for granted. Seems right the first book I purchase is the Holy Scriptures.
We plan, God laughs, Taking it hour by hour. I love you all and will try and send updates as I can.
Love,
Karen and Gene

A message from Karen & Gene:
We are overwhelmed with gratitude...humbled, awestruck. Your prayers, donations, love, social media comments, shares and likes lift our spirits beyond measure. Each and every one of you holds a special place in our hearts. Please continue to lift us in prayer as we navigate very unfamiliar waters. We do not have phones or computers at this time so communication is nearly impossible.
We will emerge slowly but surely. Clearly, God has a plan. Our entire family feels blessed beyond belief. Our greatest pain is the loss of our beloved cats. They are in divine hands now.
We feel your love, prayers, tears and compassion.

Karen and Gene, I am so so sorry to hear about this tragedy. So glad you are both okay, but I know there were terrible losses, and you have my deep sympathy. Please let me know if there's anything else we can do...I know the small contribution we can add won't be enough, but I hope it will help.
