Donazione protetta
On January 30, Aurora University basketball will host the second annual MS (multiple sclerosis) Awareness game. The AU MS game started in 2015 in honor of Diane Robinson, the mother of AU alum and assistant basketball coach Lance Robinson. Mrs. Robinson fought MS for 27 years and she was fighter, advocate, and inspirational to all about staying positive to what life can throw at you like this disease. Coach Robinson, the spearhead behind the event, knows first hand the impact this disease can be on an individual and their family.
The 2016 MS Awareness game will raise funds for a family whose mother has MS just like Coach Robinson. These donations will go to medical bills, daily living, and a dress for her to wear for her daughters wedding next year. Like any mother, one of the greatest days of your life is when your child gets married. "My mom was glowing when my brother got married in 2009," said Robinson. "I know this family will be appreciative and excited of this gesture (I have yet to tell them)."
Note from Coach Lance Robinson -
I and all involved are thankful for any donation. I appreciate all the love and support my family and I have received since August 2014 and know many of you have thought about my mom since then just like I have and miss her daily. However, I know she is in heaven looking down on all of us and smiling saving us a seat for when we meet again.
Thanks and Go Spartans,
Lance.
