Mrs. Murphy's Choir is raising funds for our musical tour of Ireland!
Our nine-voice, all-volunteer women’s choir has been singing together for more than 20 years, both for fun and fundraising. We’ve performed for hospitals, retirement homes, community concerts and private events. We’ve raised money for charitable causes we believe in, from breast cancer research to protecting our rivers.
For well over a decade we’ve had the dream of traveling to Ireland together, to share our love of music and visit the land that inspired many of our songs. We have finally committed to a date to make our dream come true: the last week in June 2016. We are booking free concerts in community centers, churches and retirement homes around the Emerald Isle.
But some of our choir members cannot afford the expenses of the trip and we don’t want to leave anyone behind!
As a volunteer choir, we rely entirely on our own money as well as donations to pay for our music, our arrangements and other expenses. We hope our friends, colleagues and loyal fans will pitch in to help us raise funds to help cover expenses for those of us who otherwise could not make the trip.
We made our deposits for the trip and are still working to raise the remaining funds, so anything you can contribute will be most appreciated!
