My name is Dr. Jeff Kahrs.  In Kenya I am known as Rhino.  Please take a moment and learn why I have a burning passion for the needy to become the needed. 



Over the past few years I have had the great opportunity to travel to Kenya, East Africa , and provide help to the needy. We are trying to help the needy become the needed. I have become involved with the Ingrid School in Nairobi and personal visits have provided first hand accounting of the amazing work Douglas Monene and his team are able to bring to the impoverished children they serve. 

Imagine being eight years old, maybe one parent, usually none. You work in a local quarry breaking rocks with a hammer all day to get enough money for the one meal you get per day. Then you hide all night and hope to get some sleep before you go back to work tomorrow and do it all over again.  And again. And again. There is no way out of your life.   You exist through the misery and even hope is in short supply. 

Now imagine that that you are eight but through some miracle you can go to a local school, get an education, have clean clothes, and a hot meal each day. You have hope. Your life can be much better. This is what Ingrid school can do. This is why I need your help. 

I make a good living. I can pay my expenses to make theses trips. Many of my patients, friends and family have asked how they can help. Some have made generous donations and I thank you for that. This is the best way for anyone to help. All monies collected will go to the Ingrid school to help the children.  My wife will go in November and I will return in January. Please help support this wonderful cause and then follow us and watch your donation go to work

What can we do with a few more dollars?  Increase school supplies. Have more books.   Hire more teachers.  Give hope to more children.  Increase the size of the school. Have a few musical instruments for the school.  More food, clean clothes, shoes,  so many things we take completely for granted in our country.  

I am am very blessed to have the opportunity to do what few get to do. But you can be a great part of this endeavor!   Please search your heart and help someone you may never meet and expect nothing in return.   This is the true meaning of giving.
