Help an experienced group of mountaineers take time away from work to continue searching for missing Seattle hiker, Samantha Sayers, so her family can stay focused on keeping people informed and working with public agencies to continue searching at the same time.
Samantha Sayers is a missing person who went hiking to Vesper Peak on August 1st and since the morning of 8/2, search and rescue efforts have been underway.
Many people have been involved in her recovery, including Snohomish County agencies and volunteer search groups. One of these groups is 49th Parallel, a group of experienced mountaineers who have already spent many days on the mountain looking for her.
As public resources come closer each day to potentially being exhausted, Sam's family is convinced that she is still out there, injured and in desperate need of rescue.


While her family has another GoFundMe going to buy things like bags to place on the trail for her to find and other expenses associated with the search and keeping their lives running while she's missing, money can't always be diverted to help the volunteers who are missing work to methodically search the mountain and clear sections one by one.
The team at 49th parallel consists of Bud Carr and, depending on the mission, a few different guys. They work in jobs like carpentry and while their bosses understand that they are called to help search, they don't get paid when they're not working.
It's estimated that missed wages total about $775/day for the four of them each day they're not at work and they need help making sure their bills are covered while they're camping out looking for her. If they raise the money needed, they will stay on the mountain for 5 days instead of wasting time coming back down each night.
They will establish a base camp on the mountain and continue to clear some areas of interest that have been identified. This work is dangerous but people with the right gear and expertise can do it safely.
Please help these 4 brave mountaineers continue the search to bring Sam home to her family and loved ones.
