Morgan's 2018 medical expenses

Last year I was diagnosed with kidney disease caused by multiple large kidney stones blocking my ureters. Imaging also detected a large mass on one of my ovaries, and lesions in one of my lungs.  All of these things should be addressed this year.

 I cannot travel except on an ambulance stretcher. Neither the Ontario government nor my employer's long term disability insurance covers non-emergency ambulance travel.  Every time I go to a medical appointment, I have to pay for the ambulance out of pocket.

Because of my size, I need two ambulance crews to lift the stretcher safely, which doubles the cost. Last year, every medical appointment cost me over $700 in round trip travel costs.  This year, the price has gone up to almost $800 per round trip.

After paying for transportation to four medical appointments in 2016 and another 4 in 2017, we have run up far too much debt, but I still need to travel to at least two more appointments to get my kidneys fixed, and who knows how many more to find out what is wrong with my ovary and my lung.
