Mops for Christie
Instead of staying in the state and being a leader during a record breaking Blizzard, governor Chris Christie has abandoned us for his presidential campaign. For his own personal gain, he abandoned the people that he promised to govern and lead. This is unacceptable of a leader and an embarrassment to the people of New Jersey. Lets join together by raising funds to Mop up the mess we have in Trenton.
A big thank you to the team at CleanItSupply.com for sending $1000 worth of mops to Governor Chris Christie, and their generous donation to the people of North Wildwood, NJ.
Be aware of the many volunteering opportunities around these areas. Please stay on the lookout for opportunities to help others in need within your local community. Thank you for your concerns and support everyone!
1. Who you are and where you’re from?
Kiyle Osgood. Lambertville NJ. Graduate of Stockton University
2. Your relationship or contact to the parties you're raising funds for?
None, I am a NJ resident and upset voter
3. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)?
Funds will now be used to assist New Jersey Residents affected by Winter Storm Jonas, either directly or indirectly by either purchasing goods or issueing a personal check to local organizations that aid those who need help from my personal account.
4. Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary/ies?
I Will hold the right to donate a higher amount to those in need at my discretion unless otherwise noted. Funds will be distributed to my perosnal account to refund personal checks and purchases that were used to purchase goods or to organizations that will directly benefit those in need. I will choose organizations in which to donate to based on meeting them in person in person.
This is ridiculous !!! If you want to do something then send the money to help those who sustained damage. And for those who are calling him fat, GROW UP !! There are officials put in place to take care of these situations. He doesn't have to go hold the hand of everyone in a crisis. Criticize him if there is no help. I'm so glad this page has only raised $125 and I pray no one else is stupid enough to donate money. These fundraiser pages are for people who ACTUALLY need help.
Personally I love the mop idea. I hope someone who sells mops offers to donate the amount you would be able to buy with the money you raise and then you can donate the actual money to an organization that helps the people in need. But otherwise send the mops. He needs a lesson.
if you'd rather donate your money to the people that were affected, then do it! stop talking shit on this page and do something. it's meant to be funny. if people want to donate to this, who are you guys to say what they should do with their money. get over yourselves.
I agree that was an a$$hole comment to make, However, I just started a gofundme (Barbara's Cancer Treatment Fund ) for my sister, who is actually starting to sell her belongings to pay for groceries, copays, medications, etc. People, please. ..if you are going to donate to a cause, make it worthwhile. We all know that Christie is not going to use this money for mops!
Those of you you find this ridiculous, please remember sometimes you need to find laughter thru tears. Our home in Sea Isle City was to totally destroyed in Sandy. After renovating it sustained heavy damage from Jonas. Nothing compared to Sandy but none the less we have some cleanup and replacing to complete. I need to keep a positive attitude and laugh at times, as life is too short to be anything else but happy. This fund brought a little laughter to my life.
For those commenting to have the money go to something else, you need to read the full description. "If you would like to have the $ go towards some other major need as a result of this storm, you can say so in your donation comments. I will send you a confirmation when it gets to where you want it go! Also, there will be many volunteering opportunities around these areas. So please stay on the lookout for opportunities to help others in need within your local community . Thank you for your concerns and support everyone!" Stop getting up in arms if you didn't read the page in full.
I like this idea, and the person running this go fund me did say you could donate money and specify what you wanted to donate it for, it doesn't have to be for a mop.. And if you want to donate to the go fund me page that funds the people who lost their cars and homes, then find that page and if you want to make it even better for those people, create a new go fund me for them as well! :) everyone wins.
