Monterey Pride is BACK!! Please join us on June 17th!
Help us reignite the LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration in Monterey County!! It’s been a number of years since there has been a local Pride Parade and Celebration, and a group of volunteers have come together to bring it back! The Monterey County Peninsula Pride planning team is asking for donations to make the Parade and Celebration a fun filled day for all!
It is our goal to create a fun, safe and welcoming environment for you to bring your friends and family to help commemorate our heritage, celebrate our culture, and liberate our people.
These festivities are important because it is a way to unify Monterey County’s LGBTQ+ community.
Our neighbors from the bay area, Silicon Valley, and Santa Cruz county have strong supportive communities and the Monterey County Peninsula Pride Parade & Celebration is how we can begin building one that is closer to home!
Donations will go towards the costs of the holding this event (e.g. flyers, t-shirts, entertainment, etc.). We greatly appreciate your support and are looking forward to celebrating with you! Event Details
The parade begins at the Monterey County Social Services in Seaside at 11 AM and will end at Oldmeyer Center in Seaside where the celebration will begin at noon! The celebration at the Oldemeyer Center will feature: tabling promoting local organizations and businesses, a series of speakers intertwined with performances, and food trucks outside for guests!
We’re excited to have supportive organizations tabling the event! You’ll also have the chance to learn about local LGBTQ+ history and explore an art room dedicated to pieces created by queer folks!
